VeriSky Support

VeriSky is a weather forecast comparison app that lets you see how accurate predictions really were. Below you'll find answers to common questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch forecast models?

Tap the model name at the top of the timeline screen to see all available models. Selecting a different model updates both the forecast line and the ghost prediction line.

What is the ghost line?

The ghost line (dashed) shows what a model predicted 24, 48, or 72 hours ago. It's overlaid on the actual observed weather so you can see how accurate the forecast was.

How do I change the ghost line timeframe?

In Settings, look for the Ghost Day option. You can choose between -24h, -48h, or -72h to compare different prediction windows.

How do I switch between °C and °F?

Go to Settings and toggle the temperature unit. This applies throughout the entire app.

How do I add or remove locations?

Tap the "+" button on the locations screen to add a new location. To use your current location, grant location access when prompted. Swipe left on a saved location to delete it.

What is bias correction?

When you submit verification reports about how the weather actually feels, VeriSky calculates a per-model bias correction to improve future forecasts for your location. You can enable or disable this in Settings.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings to clear your verification reports and cached data. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data from your device.

Does VeriSky collect my data?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs and no ads, and your saved locations, reports and preferences stay on your device. Forecasts are fetched through a server we operate, but those requests carry no account or device identifier and the coordinates are rounded to a grid cell of roughly 11 km, so they cannot be tied to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
